Where have I been??

I just realized that it's been 13 days since I last posted!!! Well it's been crazy hectic! Last Tuesday and today, I offered a coupon class at the Madison Food Center to teach those interested in learning how to save some money. Later this evening, I am beginning my post-graduate classes at CSU (very nervous about this!) Wednesday, I have the very first coupon class in Mayfield Heights (if we have enough participants!) So as you can see...I am busy, busy, busy! We've mostly been living off of our stockpile while just picking up random items such as milk, soda and coffee. AND I actually made a trip to Walmart the other night where I used almost NO COUPONS! Sometimes it just happens that way. I did find some fun new products to try out, such as the pre-made, just bake, your own scones! They had chocolate chip and almond, I chose almond and can't wait to try them! I did find bonus packs of Activia yogurt (they have six cups instead of the standard four, for the same price.) I think they were $2.18 and I used the 1/15/12 $1.00 off coupon and got six yogurts for $1.18! I anticipate needing food this week, so I hope to post Giant Eagle deals this week and let you know what I'll be getting for free or very cheap! If you are a newbie from Madison or Mayfield Heights, welcome to the site and please contact me with any questions! Have a great week!

Update on Rewards R Us.....

So I was hesitant to update you on my shopping trip to Babies R Us, because as hard as it may be to believe...I made a huge mistake. Actually two! The first mistake I made was forgetting that even though TRU/BRU give multiple rewards, half of mine expire on January 13th and the other half don't START until January 14th. So I was unable to use all of the coupons I had in hand. Also, the $10/$50 clothing purchase they emailed to me said under the very first exclusion: Clearance. Not sure how I missed that, but I still got a pretty good deal.
I went straight for accessories because our son takes his socks off everywhere and always seems to need more. I found a 4 pack of neutral colored socks for $2.00 - .80 (40% off) so $1.20. I then made my way to the onesies, as he is around 18 months now and it is difficult to find larger size onesies at a good price. I found a 4-pack of short sleeve Gerber onesies and a 2-pack of long sleeve onesies both on clearance for around $4.00 minus the 40% off clearance. And my most favorite part of the day....was finding out that Under Armour separates were also included in the 40% off sale!  I bought a pair of track pants and a tshirt for the baby boy and a skirt and tshirt  for our toddler daughter. After the 40% off clearance sale and my RewardsRUs coupons, I paid around $20.00. The Under Armour track pants were priced around $20-25 retail!
Sorry for the estimates on most of these items, I think I tossed my receipt while cleaning up Christmas and I'm not willing to go into a sleeping little guy's room to check the tags. But as you can easily see, this was a great deal. I intend to return after the 14th to use the rest of my coupons and plan to seek out the Under Armour clearance as I think the little ones look so cute in them and they are very difficult to find this cheaply.
Did you go to Babies R Us? Find any good deals? Also, if you have older children, where do you get their clothes?
